Many years ago, Armstrong Garden Centers determined that to provide our customers with the very best selection of the highest-quality plants every single day, we would need to grow them ourselves. Most garden centers and nurseries sell plants that are grown by a network of growers with varying quality and selection. And there’s no guarantee that certain plants are available when customers want them. So, Armstrong Growers, a separate division of Armstrong Garden Centers, was created. We strive to grow a wide selection of plants that are new and different, thoroughly tested, and top-quality.

A Different Chick Farm and Orchard is a family-run small 5-acre farm and orchard in the heart of Johnson City. We use all Organic and also natural and sustainable methods of farming. Always locally grown. We believe local food is the answer to so much of the needs in the local community as well as world wide concerns. We are now a USDA Certified Organic farm.
Here at PlantingTree, we know what it takes to grow a healthy plant. We hand select each order and only select the largest and best plants that will succeed in your landscape. Most other online plant nurseries only ship small quart plants. Some are only 4 inches high... Our plants are full grown ready to plant at the sizes we specify. This greatly shortens the time it takes for your plants to mature.
Our process starts with your selection of plants. Each plant has specific growing zones attached to it. The grow zone identifies what areas that the plant will grow in.
Each plant is carefully packaged in a special box designed for plants. The plant is then secured and shipped right to your door. How easy is that? No long lines at the garden center, and no mess in your car. All you do is open your boxes, plant, and water! At PlantingTree, we are a family owned company that takes pride in our plants and your order.
